FIRST RESULTS OF THE INTERREG SUDOE 2014-2020 PROGRAM

In October 2016, the first 36 projects approved under the current programming period were initiated. With a total budget of € 40.2 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the first call allowed the financing of 14 projects in the field of research and innovation (€ 15.8 million), 7 projects for competitiveness and internationalization (€ 6 million), 4 projects for the transition to a low carbon economy (€ 4.7 million), 4 projects with a view to fighting climate change (€ 5.1 million) and 7 projects on the environment and efficiency of natural resources (€ 8.6 million). The successes of the projects have resulted in pilot experiences, mobile applications, good practice guides, commercial missions, prototypes, training and much more.
