Last Friday, at midday, the eSudoe application disabled applications registrations, marking the end of the Second Call for Proposals of the Programme.

With a total budget of € 25 million, the Second Call for Proposals opened on the 13^th March, providing financial options to transnational projects on innovation and research (axis 1) and environment and resources efficiency (axis 5) – an interesting opportunity taking into account that at the call closing, 357 applications were registered, involving 2.686 potential beneficiaries from France, Portugal, Spain and UK (Gibraltar). These first readings highlight a wider participation in the axis 1 with 22 applications while the axis 5 registered 135 proposals. Concerning geographical distribution, Spain leads the main beneficiaries list with 262 candidates, followed by Portugal with 67 and 28 French entities.

Now, it is time for the candidates to be patient before knowing the results of the first stage which should be announced at the beginning of July 2017 (date could be modified), while the National Authorities and Joint Secretariat of the Programme jointly process the applications and submit them to the Steering Committee for selection.
