In January 2016, the entry into force of the territorial reform led the number of French regions to decrease from 22 to 13, In this context, it is important to highlight that this reform does not have any impact on the eligible territories of the Interreg Sudoe programme: covered territories remains the same despite the denomination’s change.

Also, please note that concerning the “Auvergne-Rhône Alpes” region, only the territory of former Auvergne is eligible, the territory of former Rhône-Alpes remaining non-eligible.

Nouvelle Aquitaine (composed by former Aquitaine, Poitou-Charentes and Limousin) and Occitanie (former Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées) are fully eligible.
