ENERGY EFFICIENCY: New steps towards better air quality in healthcare complexes thanks to Hospital Sudoe 4.0
Categoría Management of projects approved
Hospital Sudoe 4.0 works to renovate hospital buildings with the aim of achieving energy savings and reducing emissions, with special attention to HVAC systems.
Within this framework, the project is defining a methodology for evaluating air quality requirements in hospitals in southwestern Europe, an essential element in these complex buildings. Thus, in the coming months an audit will be carried out and sensors will be installed in the different areas of a pilot hospital located in Portugal to produce air quality data online. The Higher Technical Institute (IST) of the University of Lisbon, responsible for the studies and evaluation of air quality in the Hospital Sudoe 4.0 project, will be in charge of carrying out this activity.
