This is official : our project CLIMACT (Sudoe 2014-2020) is finalist for the Regiostars contest in the second category «achieving sustainability through low carbone missions». And if you worry about youth’s awareness regarding climate change, you have until 7th October to vote and turn them into winners !

Regiostars is a prize of the European Commission prize aiming at identifying good practices in regional development and highlighting original and innovative projects that are attractive and inspiring to other regions. This year, 102 applications have been submitted in 5 categories : supporting smart industrial transition (1), achieving sustainability through low carbone missions (2), creating better access to public services (3), tackling migration challenges (4), investing in cultural heritage (5).  From those, 21 have been preselected for the big finale.

Among them, CLIMACT has been preselected to compete in category 2. CLIMACT is a project which promotes low carbon economy transition at schools. Through smart energy eficiency, renewable energies and behaviours changes improve the energy efficiency of buildings, reducing environmental costs and risks for health and safety. Moroever, aware of the importance of raising awareness among young people for the future, they also develop trainings and awareness activities adressed to scholars on the importance of low carbon economy.
