Step 1 of the first call for proposals closes with 496 applications received
Categoría Call
The Interreg Sudoe Programme closed on 6 November 2016 the Step 1 of the first call for project proposals for the period 2014-2020.
Applications have been submitted through the online application system eSudoe until 12 noon of 6 November 2015. The paper applications have been sent by certified mail until 11:59pm of the same day, always according to Santander’s local time. Finally, 496 project proposals have been submitted on 6 November through eSudoe.
And now: what is the calendar?
In the days after the closure of Step 1, the Joint Secretariat will analyse all the applications to classify them as eligible or ineligible project proposal.
During this first analysis, the Joint Secretariat might find that a project proposal does not meet an eligibility criterion of rectifiable nature. In this case, the Joint Secretariat will contact the applicant to invite him/her to correct this criterion or to provide further documentation, giving a time limit of 20 calendar days.
The decision about the eligibility of the project will not be notified to applicants until the final publication of results by the Steering Committee.
Then, the Joint Secretariat, the Managing Authority, the National Authorities and, subsequently, the Steering Committee of the Programme, will start to evaluate the applications. Applicants can expect the communication about which projects have passed Step 1 during the first quarter of 2016. The calendar to submit project proposals for Step 2 will also be notified at that time.
Once the applicants know that they have passed Step 1, the Joint Secretariat will invite them to attend a technical meeting in Santander, where all the aspects related to submission of applications for Step 2 will be discussed in depth.
The evaluation procedure of Step 2 will be identical to Step 1. The final approval of projects will be notified approximately from June 2016 onwards.
You can find more information about the selection procedure in fact sheet 6 of the Sudoe programme manual for project development and management (available in Spanish, French and Portuguese).
